OUR STORY

ARTipolo GROUP – A COMMUNIY OF ARTISTS

The ARTipolo Group was organized in 2014 by 14 founding members living in Antipolo City to promote the legacy of their town as a cradle of art and culture. In 2015, it was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-profit organization.

Founding President Pol Mesina, Jr., who has been continuously serving the group, is delighted to announce that they have achieved several outstanding milestones.

To date, membership has grown to over 50 individuals, including artists living in cities outside Metro Manila such as Baguio City, and to even even as far away as Beijing, Toronto and Los Angeles.

The ARTipolo Group has chosen children and the youth as beneficiaries for its projects, while its various exhibits have helped raise funds for their education and health care in partnership with organizations such as the Soroptimist International of Antipolo, Hemophilia Association of the Philippines for Love and Service (HAPLOS) and Loreland Farm Resort in Antipolo City.

For the artistic development and growth of its member-artists, the ARTipolo Group has organized seminars conducted by masters in their fields through lectures and demonstrations.  It has also interacted with other artists’ groups to help foster friendship and cooperation among artists.

The ARTipolo Group can count among its laurels winning Second Prize in Resorts World Manila’s 2014 Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney Design Challenge with its entry Kapistahang Pilipino; the October  2015 Halloween Display of 29 life-size monsters from Philippine mythology at the Lores Plaza in Antipolo City, which was featured in a segment of the Jessica Soho Program on GMA Channel 7 and the design work in 2015 for the Original Vintage Melford Jeepney now ensconced in the Quezon City Experience Center’ permanent exhibit.

The ARTipolo Group’s growth continues with experienced and dedicated members constantly guiding younger members and a leadership committed to securing opportunities for their members’ art works in order to gain wider public recognition and deeper appreciation for them.
